Arryy the pharmacist?! o_O

Hello internet!
As many of you are well aware of, i've applied to study Medicine for University and i am still yet to hear anything from any of my Medical Universities...today however, i had my interview for my back-up choice which is ofcourse Pharmacy (MPharm). I had the interview at the School of Pharmacy and as you can probably tell form the name, this University specialises solely in pharmacy to the extent that the only undergraduate course taught at this university is MPharm... i know woah!

I'm not going to ramble on and so i'll just say in brief my overall opinion:
-The university is located in a really nice part of london, (really close to oxford street, leicester square and in a nice posh area of london)
-The number of asian people at the university are quite overwhelming:.. and when i say asian.. i don't mean like the "internet definition" of asian which basically refers to the orientals... i mean asian as in my kind of asian, which is Indian! But yeah anyway, the number of 'asians' was quite overwhelming, probably because we tend to choose sciency subjects like biology and chemistry, and these 'asians' came from all of the widely known heavily asian populated areas of england... yes yes you know the areas i am talking about... your birminghams, your leicesters, your ilfords, your southalls, your east londons lolz, ahh it felt like one big geeky asian reunion!!
Having said that, i must say that it did look like an environment that i would fit nicely into and after much research into the actual course itself, i can honestly say it is something i wouldn't mind doing...

The course allows me to specialise into an aspect of pharmacy in the third year, it gives me the chance to study abroad in one of its affiliated universities which i think is just awesome, and i can also study from home as the universities in london...
But thats all swell ... providing i even get in!!...

ahh i must say that i was severely mislead by the university... the email i got from the university vividly stated that the purpose of the interview was solely to assess my interest in pharmacy and not a test of my scientific knowledge... and what type of questions did i get??? SCIENCE BASED CHEMISTRY!!!
AHH!! From all the people that i could have been interviewed by, it HAD to be the pompous old fart who's sole response to all of my answers was "Mmmmm.... yehh.... interesting..." :!
I was asked questions such as "give me an example of reduction in the human body?" to which i was lyk ... excuse me?:
He asked me what drug is used to combat C.difficile?... as in he expected me to know the NAME THE DRUG??... ahh all i know is that your standard alcohol gel in hospitals won't cut it and so chlorinated disinfectants is advised.. how am i supposed to know the name the drug! There was that and a few other things but all in all the interview was epic fail :(...

So if i don't get an offer, that is probably the reason why:(...
Getting into medical school as things stand is hard enough as it is, so at this rate i might very well be going to no universities next year: how great?!

Anywho this blog has gone on far too long! just thought that i'd let out my little rant about my interview today! i will post any replies i get on here straight away hehe so stay posted xD
